Advanced Care for In-Patient Rehabilitation Patients

Carrus Rehabilitation Hospital meets the advanced therapeutic needs of its patients who require a specialized level of acute rehabilitation care. Our patients receive 3 hours per day, 6 days per week, of individualized therapy and benefit from a multidisciplinary treatment approach that involves a carefully structured, physician supervised, treatment program.

Carrus patients typically stay 10 to 14 days. Our patients are treated for many different illnesses, including: stroke, brain injury, amputation, hip fracture, spinal cord injury, major multiple trauma, or knee or hip replacement as well as medical disability (generalized weakness); and neurological disorders such as multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s, Guillain Barre Disease, polyneuropathy and muscular dystrophy.

This state-of-the-art in-patient rehabilitation hospital meets the complex healthcare needs of patients who require acute rehabilitative care. The hospital’s resources include a long-term acute care hospital for critically ill patients with complex healthcare needs, a full range of physical and occupational equipment, a special procedures area that provides CAT scans, sleep studies and IV infusions, as well as four beautifully decorated courtyards for our patients’ enjoyment. Licensed by the State of Texas and the Texas Department of Health and Human Services, Carrus Rehabilitation Hospital is an approved provider for Medicare.
